Just a bit of soap boxing today:) I find that if I'm knitting while podcasting I get a bit philosophical. Do you while knitting alone? Here are some links from today's show: Sandra McIver's book-Knit Swirl I love the pattern Wild Thyme Twist Collective-Julia Trice's Evendim Knitty.com-Laura Aylor's Lizard Ridge Renaissance Dyeing in France |

It is wet. Very wet on my little bit of Mt Hood. I'm sure there is snow falling not that far above us. But here at the house I am snuggled in with some knitting, writing projects and lots of cooking going on. I would love feedback from listeners on ebooks vs. bound books. Do you use them equally even though one is not always within visual reach? |

Well I've done it! I've jumped off a huge cliff:) I launched a Kickstarter project yesterday to raise money so that I can self publish my book--A Progressive Dinner! I am both super excited and scared to death. This is an all or nothing kind of funding. Come support and follow the journey with the new book blog. Here is the link to the PAD blog as well. Lots of garden talk and a bit of Tilki's opinions as well;) |

Lots happening in the getting ready process for Sock Summit! But last weekend I took a couple days off to spend time with friends at Black Sheep Gathering. It was a wonderful weekend as it is every year. I am going to run out to my garden and work on this beautiful day. More show notes will be up tomorrow. |

Why yes I did disappear for a few weeks. And you know what that means--lots to catch up on. In this podcast: Garden update, the goats, TNNA!, Sock Summit, online classes and the beginning of a book review. Some links for this show: Check out Deb Robson's new book--The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook. I will be interviewing her in an upcoming podcast and finishing the review next week. This one deserves multiple weeks of attention! Check out her blog. Here is the promo for our upcoming online spinning classes. Very soon you'll be able to take classes in spinning, dyeing, cooking, gardening and knitting from the PAD gals no matter where you are. There will be a link to the class site when it is up and running! Don't worry we'll be announcing that everywhere! Check out these books published by Visionary writers--Knit.Swirl, Charts Made Simple, Twist & Knit, The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook (different link than above), Janel Laidman, Toe Up!, The Portuguese Style of Knitting All with mentoring by Cat Bordhi and their fellow visionaries. These are just some of the books being created and mostly self published by an amazing group of people! |

I started this yesterday in the gray weather when I was just chomping at the bit to get into the garden. Today, I'm heading out as soon as I hit publish! There are a few garden pics here. This week it's mainly garden talk with a bit of Dyeworks update:) Please share on Ravelry what you are doing in the garden and in your crafting life! Want to have an informal meetup at Sock Summit? We could find a corner and show off our socks:) Let me know and I'll start planning something fun. |

Spring time! Lots in the garden and the animal barn:) And where have I been? Wow, the number of projects we've got going right now. As I started my recording set up I found that our opening song had disappeared from my computer on a recent system cleanup. I searched around and found not only Ayla Brook's album to purchase (support those you listen to!), I also found him singing our song on You Tube! Sock Summit 2011 has sign ups in a couple days! I'm so excited to be on the teacher roster. Class description in this episode. A couple of companion planting books I have found very helpful over the years--Carrots love Tomatoes and Companion Plants (now out of print) |
